ARC Alliance takes home 1st Place at the NAFA Toy & Joy Tournament 16/18A. Way to battle ladies!

Successful weekend for our Avalanche and ARC Alliance girls. 3rd place in the Gold Bracket for both 12u White and 10u. Way to go ladies (and coaches)! The 12u Blue, 14u and 2 – 16u teams battled and came away playing some good softball.

Central Oregon Fastpitch (Avalanche) is excited to announce we have partnered with the Crossfire organization to create a first year 16U A Gold team. This newly formed team consists of players from Bend, Redmond and Prineville.  As an organization, we have worked hard to provide Central Oregon girls with an opportunity to play competitive softball on a local team. Our goal is to develop softball players of all ages and provide an opportunity for young ladies to play competitive travel softball at the highest level without playing for teams based outside of Central Oregon. This team will be competing in PGF (Premier Girls Fastpitch), Triple Crown & USA Softball across the US. We are excited to be able to provide this opportunity to young ladies in Central Oregon. This team will play under the name ARC Alliance (Avalanche, Redmond, Crossfire). The team will be coached by Don Reams and Kim Dean who have years of coaching experience at both the travel and collegiate level. The team players are: Brooklyn Lick, Ridgeview High School Chloe McKenzie, Crook County High School Chloe Reams, Ridgeview High School Danner Hemphill, Crook County High School Ellee Preston, Caldera High School Isabella Lauerman, Bend High School Jaycee Villastrigo, Crook County High School Jet Hovey, Bend High School Kilby Johns, Ridgeview High School Lauren Glasser, Bend High School Reese Caranna, Summit School Taylor Aldrich, Bend High School Tylee Cossitt, Crook County High School ARC Alliance first tournament is this weekend, October 2nd-3rd in Everett Washington. What a great weekend of softball! 4 of the 5 teams that played the weekend of September 25th & 26th took home some bling! Way to go Avalanche and great job representing Central Oregon!

16u ARC Alliance is playing this weekend in Everett, WA with their first game Saturday at 8:30am vs AI Bandits at Phil Johnson Ballfields.

Thank you to all that showed up over the past two days to tryout for our 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U Fall Ball teams. We are excited about the number of girls in Central Oregon wanting to play travel ball. Coaches and board members will be meeting to review and finalize teams but it is going to take a couple of days. Our goal is to review players’ abilities, positions they play and personal information in order to create the most cohesive and competitive teams.

Thank you for your patience as we are working through the challenges of COVID and tryouts. We are going to hold 10U, 14U and 16U tryouts this Sunday, August 22nd @ Juniper Park. We hope to do 12U one day next week (maybe Tuesday or Wednesday) but we need to finalizes availability of coaches firs

10U from 2-3:30pm
14U from 3:00-5:30pm
16U from 5-8pm

Tryouts will be at Juniper park still: 800 NE 6th St, Bend, OR 97701. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check your child in. Thank you in advance for being flexible and working with us to ensure an efficient and successful tryout and season.

AVALANCHE SPRING/SUMMER 2021 TRYOUTS

FINALLY, tryouts are scheduled for February 27th at the Bend Elks Fieldhouse (401 SE Roosevelt Ave, Bend). Please ensure you have registered for tryouts so we are able to account for all that will be in attendance and be able to follow the COVID guidelines. If you show up and are not registered, you may not be able to attend the tryout. THANK YOU!

All participants will be required to wear a mask at all times and have paperwork completed prior to participating. Once you are registered, the paperwork will be sent to you via email.

2021 Central Oregon Fastpitch Avalanche Tryout Form – Google Forms

10U and 12U – Saturday, February 27th from 9am-10:50am (please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and ensure all forms are completed)

14U, 16U, 18U – Saturday, February 27th from 11am-2pm (please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and ensure all forms are completed)

Please come prepared with your COVID mask, bat, helmet, mitt, catcher’s gear (if you plan on catching) and a water bottle. We are unable to share equipment at this time and do not know if the water fountain will be available. We will be on indoor turf so No Cleats. Parents, friends and family will not be permitted in to the facility in order to adhere to the maximum number of people aloud.

Looking to add Coaches to the Avalanche coaching staff for Spring/Summer 2021. We would like to add Head coaches and assistant coaches for 10u, 12u, possibly a 14u and 16u teams. The Spring/Summer team practices will begin in February with tournaments starting in April and going through June or July (depending on the team).
