The Avalanche 16U started strong today by winning both pool games today in convincing fashion. The girls from COFP won their first game against the E1 Prospects (Garrison) with a 9-1 victory.
The Avalanche went on to win their second game, defeating the Fort Collins Stars (Bode) 9-4. The win was buoyed by a 5 run bottom of the 1st featuring back to back doubles hit by #13 Lorelei Kern and #2 Sydney Fahndrich. The extra base hits would continue with #42 Jordan Looney hitting a double and #7 Ashley Owens delivering a triple in the 2nd and 3rd innings, followed by another double by #13 L Kern.
Action for the Avalanche continues Thursday when they take on the IE Outbreak at noon.
