It turned out to be a beautiful weekend in Portland and the Avalanche showed up in force to play. By the end of the tournament, the run differential over four games was -1 for the Avalanche, showing just how well the defense continues to improve and the focus the girls bring to the game. Seven players hit over .300 for the weekend to bring in the 24 runs that would win two of the four games played. Both wins came from walk off hits.
