The Avalanche 14U – Blue squad brought home the first place honors after winning their way to the Gold Bracket final and playing six innings against the Basin Bandits from Klamath Falls, winning 7-4. The come from behind victory got started in the 3rd inning behind the bat of Lena Zahniser with a single and an RBI then Kylie Brown who doubled to drive in two RBI, tying the game. The bats of Malia Cavan, Lena Zahniser and Allison Parker led the way to the remaining runs and put the Avalanche into the lead for the rest of the game. The final play of the game was a stunning double play when center fielder Callie Denny caught a long line drive and made the throw to 3rd base Anessa Stotts for the double play and final two outs of the game. Allison Parker earns the win with 11 strike outs. Great job! Go Avalanche!
