Central Oregon Fast Pitch is seeking volunteer coaches for the 2018 Spring Season for 10U and 12U girls traveling teams. Entering it’s 5th season as a club, COFP has generated quite a bit of excitement and interest from the young women of Central Oregon. We are looking for great adults to mentor our young women.
COFP is looking for women and men that are interested in helping aspiring young athletes reach their best potential through positive coaching, clear expectations and a passion for teaching.
Coaches should have a fundamental knowledge of the rules and tactics of youth fast pitch softball. Consideration will be given to youth baseball coaches to teach fundamentals of fielding, batting, catching and fundamentals of base running. Support is available for softball pitching instruction, if needed.
The COFP organization will support with equipment, field/facility scheduling, uniform purchasing and athlete registration with USA Softball (ASA). A dedicated board is also available for coach support with budgeting, tournament scheduling, communications and player/parent guidelines.
General expectations are for 2 or more practices weekly beginning as early as mid February and running through June or early July. Season schedules are flexible and are determined by the coach.
